The new
Paddington Central is designed to be respectful of its surroundings. It draws
inspiration from the current character of Paddington and builds upon those
foundations. Community is the aspect central to the design. Utilising the
existing building where possible creates a sustainable solution that allows local
shop owners to keep lower rental prices. This attracts a non-franchise based
identity within the building. Shop owners therefore would consist of people
local to the community, selling local products.
